Youth pastor

Cambridge Community Church in Cambridge, Ontario is looking for a part-time Youth and Worship Director/Pastor to plan and deliver the mid-week youth meetings and assist in the worship ministry of our church.  The candidate should have a strong knowledge of the Bible, a passion to reach junior and senior youth (Grade 7-12) for God and an ability to lead all age groups into worship of God through music.  This person will work with the staff, Leadership Team and volunteers to fully support the vision and mission of the church in all areas of ministry working collaboratively on shared goals and supporting wider ministries of the church as appropriate while representing the interests of the youth in church life integrating them into the larger church community where all ages are valued and can contribute. 


The successful candidate will report to the Family Pastor and will develop and implement teaching, recruiting, training and development of volunteer leaders, and alongside the Staff and Leadership Team, provide support systems to ensure members of different ages and diverse backgrounds are served effectively to fulfill CCC’s vision of “Transforming lives and communities with the love of Jesus” and CCC ‘s youth vision to “Belong, Believe and Become.”  This person must be knowledgeable in stages of development and the spiritual understanding and challenges of teens and have the ability to create safe and fun environments to engage these students so they are able to experience and embrace the saving grace of Jesus and grow in spiritual maturity.  They will relate well with youth and be able to communicate and build relationships with parents/ guardians and adults of the congregation.

The CCC Youth Director will:

  •          Co-ordinate with the Family Pastor to recruit new volunteers and to conduct planning and training for the Youth Transform Volunteer Leader Team.
  •          Plan and co-ordinate the youth Transform mid-week meetings, special events, service/outreach opportunities and annual Snow Camp Recharge trip (or other retreat) in cooperation with the Youth Leader Team and the Family Pastor for our combined Junior and Senior Youth Transform nights.
  •          Connect regularly with the parents/families of CCC youth to ensure communication of programming and to support teen family life overseeing all internal and external communication that represents CCC youth department.
  •          Use the CCC Youth Purpose and Mission statement to continue and grow the current youth program through teaching, mentoring, providing service/outreach opportunities and joining the Sunday morning youth team at specific times to make connections with the junior and senior youth that attend Sundays (frequency and time TBD), further building relationships with those that also attend mid-week.
  • Oversee the safety of youth, and volunteers by ensuring all volunteers have met the required safety protocols and ensure all paperwork is completed and handed in to satisfy CCC’s safe and secure policies staying current with all appropriate laws and guidelines to ensure full compliance of this ministry.



  • Manage the Youth Ministry budget.
  • Oversee/manage CCC website up-dates for the youth ministry area as well as maintaining ministry bulletin board.
  •          Report to the Family Pastor at mutually agreed upon regular intervals to review vision, challenges and any other issues related to this ministry.
  • Track and document hours of work per week, identifying the different areas of ministry for record-keeping and clergy residency deductions.
  • Participate with the Family Pastor in an annual performance review.
  •          Perform other duties as may be required by the Leadership Team to achieve the overall outcomes and vision of CCC and the CCC youth ministry.
  •          Participate in leadership and professional development through conferences, seminars, self-directed continuing education (reading, listening to training resources), etc.
  •          This part of the job role requires on average approximately 9 hours per week.

The CCC Worship Director will:

  •          Lead Sunday morning worship at least two times per month.
  •          Collaborate in scheduling the worship teams with the Administrative Director and support weekly practices with the teams (e.g. sound, song selections).
  •          Find new music and assist teams in choosing music that relates to preaching topics and balances the needs of an intergenerational church (i.e. mix of contemporary and traditional).
  •          Recruit and develop worship teams to grow our current worship ministry.
  •          Manage the Worship Ministry budget.
  •          This part of the job role requires on average approximately 4 hours per week.

Family pastor

Cambridge Community Church in Cambridge, Ontario is looking for a part-time Pastor of Family Ministry developing and overseeing our children’s and youth ministry for children ages birth through senior high school.  This position will have primary responsibility as pastor of the nursery through Grade 6 students and provide oversight to the junior and senior youth (Grade7-12) programming, ensuring that all age-levels are operating at a high standard and with the support and resources they require.

The CCC Family Ministry Pastor will:

  • Provide overall spiritual and strategic leadership of family ministry (i.e. nursery, Sunday school, pageants, family events, and youth programs) including supervision of volunteers and programs.
  • Give oversight and training to volunteers for the library.
  • Meet regularly with the Youth team and youth pastor to provide oversight, support and training as needed and to coordinate the youth vision and purpose of “Belong, Believe, Become.”
  • Conduct regular curriculum review, evaluation and development ensuring the curriculum used at each level connects with that spiritual developmental stage and connects to the next stage, is engaging and age-appropriate.
  • Provide for an engaging and biblically-based Sunday School experience for Grade 7-Grade 12 (frequency TBD).
  • Recruit volunteers and provide regular training to equip them to effectively minister to children, students and the parents in these ministries.
  • Oversee the safety of children, youth, and volunteers by ensuring all volunteers have met the required safety protocols and ensure all paperwork is completed and handed in to satisfy CCC’s safe and secure policies, remaining current with all appropriate laws and guidelines to ensure full compliance of this ministry.

  • Manage the Family Ministry budgets (nursery, Sunday School, events, etc.) and oversee the Youth Ministry Budget spending.

Cambridge Community Church in Cambridge, Ontario is looking for a part-time Administrative Director to oversee our church’s operations and the administrative tasks of the ministry of our church.  The Administrative Director will assist the pastoral ministry of the church by handling the administrative tasks freeing up the pastoral staff for direct ministry of the Word and prayer (Acts 6).  The candidate should be a committed follower of Christ, have strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.

The Administrative Director will work with the staff, the CCC Leadership Team and volunteer teams to ensure that operational capabilities are optimized and processes are implemented to ensure members of different ages and diverse backgrounds are served effectively.  Primary areas of responsibility are administrative administration/oversight, operations management and organizational development to fulfill CCC’s vision of “Transforming lives and communities with the love of Jesus.”  This person must be able to see the “big picture” of strategy and organization as well as be attentive to small details to ensure that decisions are implemented.

The CCC Director of Administration will:

  •          Oversee building management (facility and property) ensuring grounds and facilities are safe and inviting for members and guests working with the relevant volunteers and ministries to equip and encourage.
  • Manage the renewal of current and acquisition of future contracts for the church outside of staff contracts (e.g. memberships, custodial, insurance, etc.).
  • Oversee all rental contracts and license agreements for the facility and holding all paperwork relating to such contracts and renewals.
  • Maintain a current calendar of administrative deadlines re: contracts, memberships, etc. for the staff.
  • Provide oversight of the church schedule and logistics/planning of events, maintaining and posting a monthly calendar of events for church use and custodial/staff reference coordinating with various ministries to provide direction and coordination for use of the facility.
  • Work with staff to plan and coordinate weekly services ensuring the scheduling of necessary volunteers using Planning Center (e.g. tech, worship, teachers).
  • Ensure that the decisions of the Board get done as they relate to areas of oversight.
  • Equip and oversee all office support staff/volunteers.
  • Oversee the financial team ensuring all payment of bills and salaries remain current.
  • Collect, track and hold all paperwork for security and insurance purposes for CCC Board and ministry volunteers.
  • Oversee and hold the completion of CCC Leadership Team annual paperwork including collection of Corporation of CCC legal paperwork for the lawyer.
  • Ensure that information remains accurate and current regarding the status of marriage officiant(s) and governing official information on behalf of CCC for the Office of the Registrar of Ontario.
  • Work with the church Treasurer and financial team to oversee the budget and annual budget process.
  • Connect with ministry leads and collect up-dates and information as needed for the Leadership Team.  This includes being available for communicating with all of the ongoing ministry teams, and coming alongside new ministry teams to ensure that their purposes line up with the mission, vision and core values of CCC.
  • Ensure bulletin boards reflect current ministries/activities and events.
  • Manage and/or oversee social media accounts and other communications utilized by CCC and its ministries ensuring that they are current and reflect the digital/social media policies of CCC.
  •          Perform other duties as may be required by the Leadership Team to achieve the overall outcomes and vision of CCC.
  • Track and document hours of work per week for record-keeping.
  •          The Administrative Director works with the Staff team and is responsible to the CCC Leadership Team via the Congregational Pastor.
  • Participate with the Congregational Pastor in an annual performance review.
